聆聽dCS Rossini前相當令人期待，畢竟他是當今最好的訊源品牌之一，我在數次家訪或是展覽會場上偶爾會聽到由dCS擔任訊源的系統，雖然都搭著不同的後端，但卻從未感到衰聲的狀況，總是能聽到解析佳，自然平順，均衡的音樂，當然印象本來就已經很好。這次搭配熟悉的後端器材，更可以清楚感受到Rossini帶來的改變。
流暢自然的動聽
首先播放今年香港影音博覽的發燒精選輯<Audio Compass 2017>，這張精選輯聲音效果相當好，能夠表現出系統的能耐。本身曲目挑選的相當好，都是動聽的歌曲，十分適合發燒友，可以快速地展現動態和音樂細節，也能夠不斷播放細細品嘗。透過dCS Rossini播放第一首由Ingram Washington演唱的”What a Difference a Day Makes”，開頭的背景一片漆黑，Ingram的聲音厚實自然，系統播放的非常寬鬆，可以聽聞到歌曲中的細節，但是卻毫不矯情做作，不會讓人覺得是刻意造出的線條，而是非常自然柔順卻又帶有厚度、寬裕度。第十一首由Michael Rabin演奏的曲目”Sarasate: Habanera”，由一把小提琴擔任主要演奏，一架鋼琴則是稱職地伴奏，簡易的編制更能將注意力集中在小提琴的演奏上，小提琴的音像位置清晰而且大小適當，在我們的空間中猶如一人站立在喇叭後方演奏著。小提琴聲清晰有肉，敏捷地拉弓時可聽到清晰的摩擦聲，此聲並非尖銳苛刻或誇張凌厲，而是充分的流暢自然，在音樂的高中低頻段變化時不會感到音像體積因而改變，更加真實。
比例勻稱寬鬆自然
接著播放Jennifer Warnes的<The Hunter>，第一首”Rock You Jently”開場的鼓聲富有彈性，速度不疾不徐，最好的還是與Jennifer的歌聲比例上相配得非常融洽，無論大音量或小音量，都能夠感受到整體一致而線性的增減，這點比起其他播放經驗要好的特別顯著。整體的聲音還是特別寬鬆自然，細節充分恰當，dCS Rossini在播放時只要找到合適空間的音量，永遠都不會令我感到音樂比例扭曲或者過度清晰，音像的大小很勻稱，不會有過於龐大的感覺，甚至是較為細緻的，但是卻是有肉的，有厚度而完全不擁腫，精細而厚實。
乾淨快速，音樂性特佳
播放2015香港音響展紀念專輯<2015 原音精選>，其中播放第四首”Brahms: Hungarian Dance No.1 in G Minor”，這是有高低動態與大小音量對比的演奏，表現得均衡而勻稱，演奏散落在喇叭前後左右，音場夠寬夠深，而且顯得自然，小提琴表現亮眼，聲音乾淨速度快，大提琴溫潤穩重。第十一首Pink Martini樂團表演的”Amado Mio”，中文為”我親愛的”。由女歌手China Forbes主唱，重播的聲音相當乾淨透亮，而China將其本身的女人味也充分表現在歌聲上，無論是音色或是演唱時的轉折，都勾引著聆聽者的心思。樂團的演奏也是非常棒的，在表現寬鬆自然的系統上聆聽這樣有爵士又有拉丁美洲火辣風情的歌曲，實在是令人感到心情愉悅。
網路傳輸聲音依然優異
接著我利用網路傳輸播放NAS內的DSD檔案音樂，在我們的NAS當中約有6000首DSD歌曲，用Rossini在快速瀏覽歌曲時是很流暢沒有停頓的，過去我使用過其他器材，有部分在瀏覽此頁時會讀取得非常慢，甚至偶爾會當掉，原因是什麼我不太清楚，但就使用者而言，這的確是體驗上時的困擾，製造商不能期待使用者自行解決。而使用Rossini和其APP在相同情形下完全流暢，非常地好，而使用APP的搜索功能時，也不必完全按照歌名順序，例如只要鍵入Su，所有歌曲名稱或歌手名稱上有Su的都會全部顯示出來，就像使用Google一樣，但這功能也不是所有APP都具備的，同樣稱為搜索功能，但能夠使用的寬容度是差異很大的。
播放王若琳的早期專輯<Start From Here>、Susan Wong的<Close to You>以及Diana Krall的數張專輯後發現Rossini在網路傳輸上的音樂品質依然優秀，保持著頻段均衡與自然解析的表現，在寬鬆度和聲音密度上雖然稍微不如CD播放，但依舊是非常高水準的表現。好聽的聲音最難寫，對於Rossini Player和Master Clock就是這樣，尤其沒有特殊味道，乾淨真實難以形容，大家還是安安靜靜地自行坐下試聽，感受才是最真。
重播出的音樂可成為參考水準
這次試用Rossini Player與Rossini Master Clock令我對重新檢視了一次訊源的關鍵地位，大家都說dCS的解析力很好，的確是如此，但我認為他的自然寬鬆更重要，清晰的音樂如果不自然絕對不會好聽。這套系統在均衡性上同樣非常理想，音樂不會著重在任何一個頻段，沒有任何頻段特別好，因為他們都一樣好，比例上非常勻稱，就算播放我記憶中較為吵雜的音樂，也因為這套系統的修飾，展現出了截然不同的聲音。透過Rossini Player與Rossini Master Clock，可以感受到音樂最原始的美好，讓人心平靜氣地聆聽一整個夜晚，不需要花費心思琢磨軟體優劣，還給聽音樂時最真誠的感受。
